band. You do not need to change anything on the instrument itself.
Saxophone- and flute player Hans Kuijt at first invented the
lefreQue for the saxophone, being unsatisfied with the sound
quality of even the very best instruments. He concluded that
the connection between the mouth piece and the neck of his
instrument had a negative influence on the sound quality and
tuning. Cork is a material that absorbs sound. You can use it
perfectly to fit a mouth piece airtight to the instrument but at
the same time, the properties of cork are such that it obstructs
proper transmission of vibrations from the mouthpiece to the
body of the instrument. LefreQue soundbridges solve these problems by providing a free passage for those vibrations.
Finding that the invention worked perfectly on all types of saxophone, Hans was curious to find out what the lefreQue would do on his flutes. On the flute there are no cork connections, but the lefreQue does the job essentially in the same way.
Rigid and clamped connections introduce frequency-dependent resistances in the body of all instruments, regardless of the material they are made of. Examples of such "bad" connections (or sound breaches as we call them) are mouthpiece-to-body connections, screw connections and solderings. The higher frequencies that travel through the body are curtailed more than the lower, making your overtones increasingly out of tune with their fundamental. The only way to correct this, without lowering the fundamental, is using our patented lefreQue sound bridge.

Why a lefreQue
From a sound quality perspective, the tube of your wind instrument would ideally consist of one piece. For practical reasons however (tuning, transport, technical constraints), wind instruments - as we use them today - consist of different sections.
LefreQue is a revolutionary sound bridge that
acoustically connects the sections of your wind instrument, combining the benefits of both.
The result is an unequaled improvement of your sound quality: purer overtones, accurate tuning, clear response, smooth intervals, extended dynamics, surround projection.
What is a LefreQue Sound Bridge
The LefreQue is a sound bridge that will make all wind instruments sound better. It consists of a bridge built up by two metal elements that will repair the sound breaches that occur in different parts of a wind instrument. You can put the LefreQue on your
instrument using an especially developed elastic
